Microbial Biotechnology

The main subjects of research are the genetic engineering and fermentation of microorganisms (with a particular expertise on filamentous actinomycetes) with the purpose of efficiently producing secondary metabolites (antibiotics), and peptide and recombinant proteins with antimicrobial activities
