The Animal Technology and Aquaculture Unit cooperates with several inland hatcheries, non-profit facilities devoted to repopulation of endangered water courses with autochthonuos species, at risk in a specific area or habitat. Those co-operating with this Unit are located in the Alpine and Prelapine regions of Italy, and are listed and linked below:

All are land-based, mild intensive hatcheries: natural feeding provided by environmental resources is only partially integrated with addition of commercial foods.
